Boston/Boston (1976)

An American rock band centered on Tom Scholz, Boston's debut album (#3 on the US album charts). Melodic and pop-oriented rock based on UK hard rock and progressive rock. Massive sound by 12-track recording. Tom Scholz wrote most of the songs, played most of the instruments except drums and Brad Delp's vocals, and he also arranged, engineered and produced it. An early example of the late 1970s and the 1980s commercial rock called later 'arena rock'. Includes singles, 'More than a Feeling' (#5 on the US charts), 'Foreplay/Long Time' and 'Peace of Mind'. Digitally remastered by Tom Scholz and released on CD in 2006.
