Telemann/Twelve Fantasias for Flute Solo (Rampal, 1972)
German Baroque music composer, Georg Philipp Telemann's Twelve Fantasias for Flute Solo (Denon). A piece full of ornamentations in the Rococo style, for Flauto Traverso (baroque flute) without bass part. Composed in around 1727-1728. The variety of musical styles and changing tempos keep the audience from being bored. A classical performance by a great flutist of the 20th century France, Jean-Pierre Rampal on modern flute. A digital recording in Saitama Kaikan Hall in Japan, on October 30, 1972.
