Mozart/Flute Concertos, Concerto for Flute and Harp (Galway/Marriner, 1995)
Mozart's "Flute Concerto No.1 in G major" is known as a graceful and splendid masterpiece making full use of the color and register of flute. "Flute Concerto No.2 in D major" is an adaptation of "Oboe Concerto in C major". "Concerto for Flute and Harp in C major" is a unique double concerto with a rare combination of flute and harp. The flute performed by Northern Ireland-born virtuoso flutist, James Galway. Sir Neville Marriner conducts Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. The harp performed by Marisa Robles. Released on RCA. Galway had recorded these pieces many times. The flute concertos are his fourth recordings, and "Flute and Harp" is his fifth recording.
