Incognito/The Best of Incognito (2000)

A best compilation album of Incognito, the British acid jazz project formed in London in 1979 with Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick as the leader. Danceable and sophisticated sound based on the 1970s soul/jazz/funk/fusion. The 1991 single "Always There (David Morales remix)", released on DJ Gilles Peterson's Talkin' Loud label, is a Top Ten hit in the U.K. Also features "Still a Friend of Mine" , "Everyday", "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing" (a cover of Stevie Wonder), "Deep Waters", "Spellbound and Speechless (edit)", "Roots", and "A Shade of Blue (edit)". The last track "Talkin' Loud" is a live version from the Japanese album "Last Night in Tokyo: Incognito Live".
