Fairport Convention/Liege & Lief (1969)

A British folk-rock band of the late 1960s, Fairport Convention's great fourth album. Features Richard Thompson (guitar) and Sandy Denny (vocals). Folk rock based on the traditional British traditional folk tunes with playing violin, viola, mandolin and electric instruments such as electric guitar and bass. Includes five covers of old English folk songs. Female vocalist, Sandy Denny's vocals are beautiful. Produced by Joe Boyd.
