Soft Machine/Third (1970) *
An English psychedelic/progressive rock/jazz-fusion band and one of the central bands in the Canterbury scene in the late 1960s and the early 1970s, Soft Machine's third album. Features a horn section and has a more jazz rock-oriented sound than their first and second albums. The tracks are all instrumental, except "Moon in June" featuring Robert Wyatt's vocals. A masterpiece of Canterbury prog/jazz rock, combining interplays in the fusion style, like Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew", contemporary electronic music elements, and Soft Machine's original psychedelic pop.
