The Strokes/Is This It (2001)

A rock band formed in 1998 in New York with Julian Casablancas (vocals, songwriting), the Strokes' debut album. Simple and melodic guitar rock in the garage rock/post-punk style, like the Velvet Underground and the Television. The UK music magazine NME made this their Album of the Year.
